Last year I finally decided to address the question, “do you teach tarot?”, that I had been asked regularly for well over a decade, and started teaching tarot!
I have been teaching two-hour stand-alone classes at Work-Shop‘s excellent warehouse headquarters in Redfern, Sydney. I also taught a class at Waverley Library in Bondi Junction for Halloween (or rather, Beltane in the Southern Hemisphere, but for the sake of brevity I shan’t go on about that here!).
To date the classes have focussed solely on the Major Arcana (the 22 trump cards in a deck of 78) and we do a series of fun exercises that help you get an instant feel for the meanings of the cards. By the end of the class you will be able to do a simple three card reading using your new skills, and from there, anything is possible!
Although I designed this class primarily for beginners, I have also had attendees who already have a fair bit of knowledge of the cards, and they have said the class helped them loosen up their approach and gain new perspectives of the cards.
Tarot is a vast and rich medium, and there are an abundance of methods by which you can learn and then keep on learning. In these classes I hope to inspire you keep on diving in and understanding the many ways in which the tarot can help you communicate with yourself and with others.
