With balance comes quietness and assuredness. Are we balanced enough? Are we quiet enough?
No, not really. I’ve been trying to work with you all for weeks now, with only occasional success.
Oh 4 of Swords, where did we go wrong?
Shush Collective. You didn’t go wrong, you just didn’t go balanced. You chose higgledy-piggledy instead, and that is not my domain at all. I’m actually thinking you might benefit from a warmer and more earthy embrace at this point in time.
A 4 of Swords embrace can be a little cool and austere for some. Go forth to the Queen of Disks (Pentacles) instead!
Hello my darlings. Let us sit together for a while.
You are here with us again this month, dear Queen of Disks! What shall we talk about this time?
You want to talk and not hug? Hmm… okay. We could talk about the importance of self-care and the necessity of staying away from situations where bitterness prevails, and that includes your own headspace.
Perhaps share a load of your woes today. Not in a resentful toxic way of course, in an I’m-sharing-my-vulnerability-and-I’ve-chosen-you-because-I-resepct-and-value-you kind of way.
Also, we could talk about how being grounded generally means being more in control. Whilst that may seem boring to some, being grounded actually allows you to have a wider range of choices in regards to personal expression and empowerment.
How can we actually DO all this?
The Hanged Man might have some ideas. Hanged Man? Over to you.
Hello hello dear Collective. Nice to see every single last one of you. It is always nice to have company when one is hanging by one’s left foot, upside down in a tree.
But as you can see, I like to make best use of my time. I have mastered some juggling skills for now, and later today, when you’ve moved ahead to the next tarot card, I will turn my attention to deep meditation.
Is there anything you have noted, dear Hanged Man, whilst inverted, that perhaps could help the Collective weave our way through this month of June?
I have learned that having the blood rush to my head kind of freaks me out at first, but then as I continue to breathe, I start to relax and enjoy the different perspective that comes, regarding life and my own body and how it works in every moment.
So for you, dear Collective, I think that my teachings about staying with discomfort can be very helpful. Of course the discomforts I am talking about here are not things that are dangerous or life threatening, rather discomforts that occur when you are on the edge of transformation.
With enough curiosity to tide you over until everything starts to shift, there can be plenty of deep understandings about yourselves that can be awoken.
Ah, thank you Hanged Man. Now, I believe that the 3 of Swords is ahead, awaiting us. Greetings 3 of Swords!
Oh, hello Collective! And firstly may I begin by thanking you for the warm welcome.
Often when I stand before people with my large bleeding heart with 3 Swords stuck through it, their eyes widen as they grimace and quickly pull another tarot card (and put it RIGHT ON TOP OF ME IGNORING MY EXISTENCE), or they passively sit there, looking at with me with a blank stare whilst their insides churn and shudder in dreaded anticipation as they think, “What will the tarot reader say??
And so dear Collective, what will you say about me?
Well, I know there might be some party-poopers in the crowd, so how about I jump in and extend my heartfelt thanks for your capacity to help us get clearer about what is working in our lives, and what really isn’t working.
Thank you for noticing. I like to see myself as that annoying aunty chaperone who prevents you from making a complete ass of yourself by going for something that won’t work. Or continuing with something that clearly isn’t working. I am the sharp-edged wit who prevents total calamities by helping you acknowledge where in your life you need to start getting honest about what’s really going on.
Of course, sweet and nice aren’t descriptions well suited to my personality, but a meanie I am not. I’m just trying to help, but with all this resistance that people chuck at me, gosh, sometimes I wish I could just lose a Sword.
I hope you won’t lose a Sword 3 of Swords. We understand that you are offering to us an aspect of ourselves that is important for us to embrace in order to be whole.
Ah, yes. This conversation has quite revitalised me from all the shocked glances and fear I usually contend with. Do come again dear Collective, come again!
Are you reading for me yet?
Hello 2 of Cups.
Did you have a nice time with the 3 of Swords?
Quite.
I’m glad. People can be so judgmental of her simply because of her appearance. Now that you’re here, perhaps we can talk a little about commitment.
Commitment?
Yes, I know it’s a word that triggers fear in some people. But really, people do overthink these things. The 2 of Cups’ idea of commitment is simply being content with and connected to where you are at, and all the feelings you are having in that moment.
Sometimes you might want to disconnect from what you are feeling because it is too intense, or scary or sad. It is for those moments that the 2 of Cups turns up. We want to keep you in commitment to ALL parts of yourself, including the parts that get all thingy and weirdo and cross.
When you are having unpleasant emotions you might believe that you ARE them, and you might forget that the more pleasant parts of yourselves are still there, only they’re hiding. We, the 2 of Cups will help you remember all parts of yourself in those more challenging moments, so that you can come back to being in sync sooner rather than later, and without having to create any diversionary tactics!
Thank you 2 of Cups. It is always nice to hear what you have to say.
Anytime. Now the 9 of Wands is waiting to speak to you up ahead to finish off this Collective Tarot Reading.
Hi 9 of Wands. You appear to be waiting for something.
Waiting yes, but there is no passivity in the way I wait. I have an awareness of what it is I might be looking for, and remain open to other ideas life might have for me.
I think I’ve appeared for you all, Collective, to help you remain open to new possibilities, particularly one that take you into vaster and more loving realms than what you previously thought possible.
I want to help you all acknowledge the hard work you’ve put into getting where you currently are, and then to reach out for the interesting opportunities that life will throw at you, simply because it can. If something feels right, then it probably is.
So just do it. Life is far too mysterious to be behaving like you know exactly what should be happening. Relax, remain curious, and move towards the unique opportunities.
